SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The Sr. Staff Accountant is a crucial role split between sales and tax accounting and general accounting. Regarding sales and use tax, the role will be responsible for overseeing the monthly filings of all Company’s legal entities and will serve as the primary point of contact within the Company’s for sales and use tax questions. The balance of the role focuses on general accounting, including account reconciliations and analysis, journal entries and related monthly close documents, and monthly financial reporting.

Job Duties:

• Oversee monthly sales and use tax computations and filings performed by the third-party service provider
• Inventory and cost activity support across all locations
• Corporate support with month end closing and analysis
• Completion of journal entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and account analysis related to the month-end close process
• Assist the broader Accounting Department with improving AP and AR functions
• Assist in maximizing the use and effectiveness of current ERP system

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Recent Accounting / Finance graduate and/or five years of broad-based accounting experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to effectively prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational, research, analytical, and communication skills, both oral and written
• Detail-oriented and willing to roll up sleeves
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
