Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator will prepare, pack, and ship products to be delivered to the customer. Other duties include counting items, receiving and placing product produced in inventory, maintaining cleanliness of warehouse, and completing all paperwork required in accordance with compliance and current import / export regulations. The logistics Coordinator facilitates communication between production, sales, and distribution stages to promote an efficient supply chain, while adhering to company safety regulations and OSHA and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare work area for start of shift, which includes restocking supplies (boxes, paper etc.).
• Schedule appointment window for deliveries. Process receipts as required.
• Implements daily shipping plan. Creates documentation in advance for scheduled shipments.
• Ensure product to be shipped is inspected for correct content. Review domestic orders to ensure prompt and accurate shipment according to the requirements of the Customer.
• Upon receipt of shipping orders, pull stock, verify for accuracy, and pack orders.
• Determine carrier and release orders to floor; ensure priority orders are completed; close all completed orders; correct errors as needed.
• Schedule pickup by carrier, prepare and review Bills of Lading, process shipments on Fedex, UPS shipping platforms, end of day, provide tracking assistance to internal dept., freight brokers, agents.
• Handle the daily operational needs of the customer base through the various transportation solutions: LTL, Truckload, and Intermodal. Route shipments in the most cost-effective manner using approved carriers, tracking follow-up.
• Processing end-of-day documentation to close orders and jobs.
• Extensive interaction with project managers (C/S), planning, warehouse, production, LTL / FTL carriers, Brokers (inbound & outbound truckloads), International Brokers to provide customs paperwork, and troubleshoots/resolves any issues.
• Perform Material Handling activities according to established company policies.
• Confirms availability of items to be shipped, assist with cycle count program as scheduled, (verify inventory records).
• Prepare shipping quotes for internal customers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Effective communication, including writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of shipping, receiving. Processing documentation experience preferred

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Experience with material handling equipment: Forklift & Pallet Jack
• Strong communication skills
• Strong math skills
• Detailed and accurate work habits
• Experience using Warehouse management system and UPS Wordship
• MS Office: Excel, Word, Windows, computer skills

Schedule: 8AM -4:30PM ; Monday-Friday

$15 – $20/hour depending on experience
