Job Description: SeaCa Packaging is seeking a meticulous and experienced Folder/Gluer Operator to join our production team. This role involves operating and maintaining folder/gluer machines, ensuring efficient and accurate production processes while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Read and evaluate job tickets, print cards, and CAD drawings, following production schedules and organizing priorities accordingly.
• Set up machines and pre-feeders, operating the equipment, conducting setups, monitoring, cleaning, and making necessary adjustments.
• Operate pre-feeders or stackers, monitoring machine operation for issues such as bad sheets or incorrect loads on rollers.
• Fill out "Quality Checklist" and compare test samples to checklist information.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping floors.
• Collaborate with supervisors and co-workers to identify and implement solutions, contributing to a proactive problem-solving environment.
• Set up stackers for neat stacks using correct dunnage and patterns specified on job tickets.
• Determine optimal machine speed to meet production goals while ensuring consistent quality.
• Double-check load quantities and tags for accuracy.
• Identify nonconforming products and advise the operator, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
• Prepare for upcoming orders by staging dunnage and print load tags, inspecting equipment for correct operation.
• Complete orders in the computer system, fill out last load sheets, and print last load tags at the correct quantity.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient writing, mathematical skills, and a basic mechanical understanding.
• Experience with Folder/Gluer machines.
• Two or more years of experience in machine operation, preferably in folding and gluing operations.
• Knowledge of safe tool and chemical handling practices.
