Forklift Operator – URGENTLY HIRING!

A forklift operator plays a crucial role in material handling and logistics within various industries. The job description for a forklift operator typically includes the following responsibilities, skills, and qualifications:

Payrate – $20/hour paid weekly

Schedule: 7a-4p Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, load, and unload materials in a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or other work environments.
• Efficiently handle and transport materials using the forklift, ensuring proper positioning, stacking, and securing of materials.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, or shelves. Ensure the accurate and timely movement of goods to designated locations.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating the forklift. Conduct routine safety checks on the equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Keep track of inventory levels and assist in periodic inventory counts. Report discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other relevant staff to coordinate material movements and fulfill work requirements.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on the forklift, such as refueling, checking fluid levels, and reporting any mechanical issues for prompt repair.
• Maintain accurate records of material movement, inventory transactions, and any incidents or accidents involving the forklift
• Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to forklift operations and workplace safety.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a forklift operator is often preferred. Familiarity with different types of forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness are essential.
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure accurate handling and placement of materials.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
