Summary:

This position offers a competitive pay rate of $20/hour, with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operate Machinery: Utilize mixers, forklift trucks, and pallet jacks in the production process.
• Measure and Mix: Accurately weigh or measure raw materials and add them to mixing tanks as per batch tickets.
• Blend Ingredients: Start machines to mix or blend ingredients, ensuring they mix for the specified times.
• Quality Control: Match colors to QA Lab standards by tinting products according to batch tickets.
• Monitor and Adjust: Stop mixing or blending equipment per instructions once the specified product quantity is obtained.
• Sample Collection: Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
• Maintenance and Cleanliness: Clean and maintain mixing tanks, equipment, and work area.
• Punctuality and Reliability: Adhere to work schedule, report to work on time, and work throughout the assigned shift.
• Follow Directions: Accept and implement directions from the shift supervisor.
• Equipment Monitoring: Observe equipment operations and notify the supervisor of any malfunctions.
• Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning of work area and blending equipment.
• Labeling and Shipping: Apply labels to products and/or cases and help load trucks.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Instruction Compliance: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions/directions.
• Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented to follow specific procedures and work instructions.
• Math Skills: Basic math skills – adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Safety and Pace: Work safely at a sustained pace to produce quality work and sufficient quantity as determined by the production planner.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Wear specified PPE throughout the shift, including steel/composite toe work boots, safety glasses, aprons, protective gloves, respirators, masks, and face shields as required.
• Exposure: Handle exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Safety Training: Complete required safety training, perform tasks safely, and follow safety policies.
• Chemical Handling: Handle caustic or acidic chemicals after appropriate training and with appropriate PPE.
• Reliability: Must be reliable and dependable.

Preferred Experience:

• Manufacturing: 3 years
• Mixing/Batch Making: 1 year

Physical Demands:

• Activity: Stand, walk, handle, reach outward and above shoulder, climb, and bend frequently.
• Lifting: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Environment: Work near moving mechanical parts.

Schedule and Pay:

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pay Rate: $20/hour
