Position Summary

The Recruiting Coordinator provides administrative and recruiting support to help attract, screen, and onboard qualified candidates. This entry-level role is ideal for someone interested in starting a career in recruiting, staffing, human resources, or talent acquisition. The Recruiting Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for applicants and helps ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

Review applications and resumes for open positions.
Contact candidates by phone, text, and email to schedule interviews.
Conduct initial candidate screenings and reference checks.
Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Assist with onboarding, new hire paperwork, and employment verifications.
Post job advertisements on job boards and social media platforms.
Follow up with candidates regarding application status and interview feedback.
Support recruiters with sourcing and recruiting activities.
Answer incoming office calls and assist walk-in applicants.
Maintain compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Assist with recruiting events, job fairs, and community outreach efforts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
Previous customer service, administrative, sales, or call center experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with candidates.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor and positive attitude.

Preferred Skills

Bilingual is a plus.
Experience with social media recruiting.
Ability to build relationships and provide excellent customer service.
Strong sense of urgency and follow-through.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong customer service and communication skills required
Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds required
Ability to unload freight, to move product on and off of store shelves, to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or kneel for long periods of time, and to move freely throughout store on a continual basis required
Basic English literacy and math skills required
