Estimate Manager Needed For Large Construction Firm

Manages and oversees the estimating department. Ensures bids are accurate and estimates quantities of material to purchase. Responsible for the training and staffing of the estimating department.

Salary:

• Up to 150k annually
• Plus added bonuses

Responsibilities:

• Ability to understand project documents and their specific requirements
• Participates in job walks
• Understanding of plumbing, mechanical piping and mechanical duct systems
• Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity, analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates
• Assist project managers with change-orders
• Assist in the development of reline drawings
• Generate scope of work and write concise proposals
• Assist staff to meet deadlines

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in engineering preferred
• 5+ years in estimating with some managing experience
• General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing required
