Summary:

Builds variable EMS/OEM products and subassemblies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

 

Determine daily production requirements from Business Unit Manager, Production Team Leader and/or work orders.

 

Receive daily build requirements through work orders.

 

Assemble quantities and configurations to meet production needs; use correct assembly procedures in a teamwork environment.

 

Inspect components for fit and finish prior to assembly and inform Business Unit Manager and/or Production Team Leader of any issues.

 

Test each unit for functionality and acceptability.

 

Apply labels and move parts to Quality Control area; report end of day quantity build to Business Unit Manager and/or Production Team Lead.

 

Assist Business Unit Manager and Production Team Lead, as necessary, to meet production goals.

 

Conform with the organizations ISO 9001 & 14001 requirements

 

Other duties may be assigned.

The position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Ability

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers; to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform such operations using United States currency, weight measurement, volume and distance.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills

Ability to use a computerized workstation and perform simple data entry functions.

 

Other Skills

Ability to use basic hand tools.

Education and/or Experience:
