AtWork Personnel is Now Hiring Welding Technician/Fabrication Associate for the Dallas Area (75212)

Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 7am-3:30pm
Rate of pay: $25-$35/HR

Responsibilities:

Select, cut, trim, drill, and shape stock materials such as flat bar, channel, angle, pipe, sheet, and plate.
Accurate fit-up and tack weld of multiple component into an assembly; complete weld-out after fit-up inspections; grinding and blending seams to the required finish.
Selection of the appropriate weld procedure and welding machines.
Operate a pipe threading machine.
Assembly of multiple weldments and machine components into equipment.
Perform cuts on sheet and place using saws, cut off tools, hand held plasma cutter, or CNC plasma cutter.
Machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
Read and interpret technical drawings, data sheets, and specifications.
Use of rulers, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and other instruments for measuring.
Enter raw material consumption, machine utilization, and labor in the CMMS/ERP software.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Welding Technology or comparable degree from an accredited college.
Welding Technology Certificate will be considered provided that the candidate has relevant work experience.
Minimum of 3yrs experience of fabrication and welding.
Experience using AutoCAD
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, reach, bend, climb, push, and pull for long periods.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong customer service and communication skills required
Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds required
Ability to unload freight, to move product on and off of store shelves, to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or kneel for long periods of time, and to move freely throughout store on a continual basis required
Basic English literacy and math skills required
