General Ledger Accountant I

Seeking a General Ledger Accountant for a Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This company has properties both in and outside of Nevada and has recently acquired an online betting company. Compensation: $55,000 plus a $1,000 Sign on Bonus!

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years Gaming experience; and be able to work both independently with little supervision, and cross functionally with internal teams and stakeholders. Excellent communication and attention to detail is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience with Daily Banking Detail
• Preparation of Non-Gaming Journal Entries for Month End Close
• Banking Reconciliations; Journal Adjustments, Daily Cash Reporting, & Reporting of Variances to Management
• Monthly Journal Entries and Input into Great Plains
• Tri-Annual Cage Audit
• Preparation and Review of Daily Management and Flash Reports for Accuracy Prior to Distribution
• Gaming and Non-Gaming Audit
• Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts as assigned.
• Covers A/P, A/R, and Count Team as Needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 year's GL Accounting Experience in Gaming Industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Associates Degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred
• Great Plains a Plus
