Hotel Accounting Manager -75K plus Bonus – MUST have Casino Gaming Property Experience

Las Vegas Strip Property looking for a Hotel Accounting Manager who will supervises the property accounting functions, including supervising non-gaming and gaming revenue accounting, auditing, and anti-money laundering auditing. We are looking for a Candidate with experience planning and monitoring the Accounting department’s general accounting for revenue and auditing reporting; internal controls, statistical reporting, daily distribution of non-gaming and casino performance, and reconciliations. The manager will  review and approve general ledger journal entries; and direct the reconciliation of general ledger accounts. 

The ideal candidate will have experience preparing and analyzing daily paperwork and reports; developing and implementing recommendations for improved efficiencies, and working with internal audit, internal compliance, and outside regulatory agencies, including the Nevada Gaming Control Board and the IRS.

We are looking for a high level of experience with hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, conducting performance evaluations and establishing goals and objectives. This person will work with all levels of management, including executives and key business stakeholders.  This role will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining a system of internal controls for all departments and administrative controls as related to team members, policies and procedures, AML program, NRS, Regulations, MICS, and ICS. On a monthly basis, the Hotel Accounting Manager will participates in the month end process of reviewing preliminary financial statements with department heads and resolves any unknown or unexplained items, acting as a liaison between accounting and operations. Additionally, the Manager will  liaise with IT to resolve any system problems related to systems used by the department.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four year degree in Accounting or related area from a four year college or university or four to six (4-6) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Casino Gaming Experience – 5 years
• A Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience
• Knowledge and ability interpret and evaluate internal controls and extensive experience in writing financial and internal control procedures
• Demonstrated ability to apply analytical reviews and ability to interpret significant data relationships
• Previous experience with Konami / Bally ACSC, Micros POS and Infinium or related Accounting system preferable
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of front of house casino operations as related to accounting
