Machine Operator

Position Summary –

The Operator is responsible for safely operating injection molding machines, in both semi-automatic and automatic runs, as well as any secondary equipment such as scrap grinders, material loaders, and etcetera (this does not include setting up, processing, or troubleshooting any equipment or machinery). This position also includes performing any finishing work on plastic parts as needed, including cutting, clipping, trimming, deburring and etcetera. The Operator is assigned varying tasks throughout their shift, which may change from day to day depending upon the jobs running. Tasks related to the assigned job(s) may include anything from the simple tasks recovering a part from a press and packaging, to the more complex tasks of trimming parts, fitting parts in fixtures, or taking care with special packaging.

Schedule –

Monday through Friday (6a-230p)
Friday through Monday (Friday & Monday 10p-630a, Saturday & Sunday 6p-630a)

Pre-Hire Qualifications –

Must be able to pass a drug test
Must be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age
Must be able to provide proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States

Skills and Abilities –

Education: None required; High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred
Experience: None required; Light experience with manufacturing, manual labor, or in a warehouse environment is preferred
Computer Skills: None required
Certificates & Licenses: None required

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong customer service and communication skills required
Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds required
Ability to unload freight, to move product on and off of store shelves, to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or kneel for long periods of time, and to move freely throughout store on a continual basis required
Basic English literacy and math skills required
