Responsibilities for Paint Prepper include but are not limited to:

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

Qualifications for Paint Prepper:

• 2+ years’ industrial, manufacturing, or automotive paint prepping experience required
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record
• Ability to complete projects on-time and on-budget
• Excellent communication and team-building skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to repeatedly stand, bend, lie down & kneel repeatedly walk, sit, talk, write, and hear.

The employee must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move weights up to 60 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in a warehouse or office. The employee may be exposed to odors and is required to wear protective gear when exposed fumes, grease, oils, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. An employee of this position may be exposed to poor weather conditions, including extreme heat.
