Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to join our team on a temporary-to-hire basis. The Sanitation Worker will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility. This position involves a combination of training hours from 7AM-3PM and regular shift hours from 5AM-1:30PM. Additionally, there is an opportunity for cross-training on forklift operation.

MUST have experience with a ride on 4-wheel floor scrubber.

Responsibilities:

Perform sanitation duties according to company protocols and safety guidelines
Utilize a Tennant vehicle.
Will provide training on other MHE units such as a 5000lb capacity forklift to assist with other warehouse functions.
Clean and sanitize equipment, production areas, and common spaces
Dispose of waste and recyclable materials properly
Follow proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and supplies
Adhere to established schedules and deadlines for sanitation tasks
Assist with inventory management and organization of sanitation supplies
Cross-train on forklift operation and perform related duties as needed

Requirements:

Previous experience in sanitation or related field preferred
Will need prior experience operating a 4 wheel sit down commercial grade floor scrubber.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects
Willingness to work early morning shifts and undergo training as needed
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong customer service and communication skills required
Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds required
Ability to unload freight, to move product on and off of store shelves, to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or kneel for long periods of time, and to move freely throughout store on a continual basis required
Basic English literacy and math skills required
