Shipping Manager
Currently seeking for a Shipping Manager to accomplish the goal of getting our finished goods from our company’s facility to our customers and ensuring shipments delivered to their customers are correct. Liaison between our production plant and our raw materials vendors. To maintain accurate inventory of the facility by entering purchase orders and transferring inventory within multiple locations using our internal MACOLA systems. Some of their core responsibilities include the following:

Handling Shipping Inbound and Outbound Paperwork (Domestic & International)
Determines method of shipment based on the shipping instructions, creates, and prepares bill of lading, commercial invoices, and other shipping documents. Proper labels with correct postage are a must for shipments to be delivered correctly. They also note any special delivery instructions, including accessorial like the use of liftgates, residential/farm deliveries, delivery appointments or any other requests that are in the shipping instructions.

               Accurate shipment and delivery information are vital. The Shipping Manager will take note of such information for our company to maintain up-to-date records of what was sent to which customer and maintain internal record-keeping systems. This includes purchase orders that are received into inventory. Completing the billing process of all shipments shipped on the previous day.

Maintaining Inventory
Manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory. Conducts a physical inventory and adjustments at least once a quarter. Enter physical inventory adjustments as needed. Performs transfers and enters purchase orders of finish goods as they are received. Ensures warehouse area is always safe and secure.

Customer Service (Internal & External)
Contact’s customers, vendors, and carriers for various information or needs. Contacts transport companies and suppliers to expedite, trace or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders. Will work with our customer service team as needed to provide quotes, tracking information or other miscellaneous needs. Work with Accounts Payables to resolve any invoicing issues.

Manager Skill and Qualifications
Proven experience as shipping manager with solid knowledge of logistics procedure. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Creative thinking skills and excellent problem-solving skills.

Experience working with electronic data, computer savvy, Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook and Excel. Experience in directing and evaluating team members.

Other
Order supplies for the warehouse and the office as needed. Upkeep equipment in running conditions. Approve timesheets weekly. Other tasks that might come up in dealing with the warehouse or office.
