Warehouse Supervisor Needed in Henderson, NV 

Job Description: Supervising and mentoring incoming temps. Ensuring they are familiar and knowledgeable with company’s operations and procedures. Requires someone who is comfortable supervising and training incoming temp employees so they are confident in their abilities to operate stand-up forklifts and meet daily production goals. Giving clear direction and training temps on logistics of company’s orders, deadlines, storage, inventory, and other operational duties is extremely important as they will eventually phase out of training. Encouraging the importance of attendance and addressing any attendance/tardiness/behavioral/performance issues and if necessary, reprimanding intolerable behavior. Ability to maintain a positive attitude in stressful, chaotic times to establish the tone of teamwork and orderliness, while keeping strong leadership role
 

Type: Logistics Company

Environment: Extremely cold temperatures within warehouse

Schedule: Depends on week, could be daytime hours or swing shift (must be flexible for schedule change and possible overtime during the week and on weekends.)

Hours: May work up to 12-14 hour days

Pay Rate: $20/hr

Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Previous supervisory or lead experience
  • Ability to comfortably operate a stand-up forklift
  • Flexible schedule
  • Strong people management skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years of previous warehouse experience

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds required
  • Ability to unload freight, to move product on and off of store shelves, to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or kneel for long periods of time, and to move freely throughout store on a continual basis required
  • Basic English literacy and math skills required
